SANA'A, May 24 (Saba) – A well-informed military source at the southern military region declared Thursday that over 35 of al-Qaeda terrorists have been killed and dozens injured in Abyan and Lahjj.

Military troops of the 119th Armored Brigade,  the 201st  Infantry Brigade, the 135th  Armored Brigade and the 90th  Air Brigade along with popular committees have managed to defeat militants causing them  heavy losses to al-Qaeda insurgents.



In a fierce battle carried out on Thursday morning by the military troops against al-Qaeda, more than 35 terrorists including leaders and foreigners elements  were killed and dozens wounded, the source said. 



The source valued the heroic stands of military personnel and popular committees in fighting al-Qaeda and cleansing the southern regions.
