President, Interior vice-minister discuss enhancing security situation in provinces
[19/مارس/2019] SANAA, March 20 (Saba) -President, Mahdi al-Mushat on Tuesday met with Deputy Interior Minister Major-General Abdul Hakim al-Khaiwani.
The meeting discussed the security situation in the capital Sanaa and the provinces and ways to enhance the efforts of security agencies in maintaining security and stability.
The meeting also discussed the plan of the Ministry of Interior and the security services for the current year and its needs to enhance the role of the security services in maintaining security and stability, combating crime and improving the level of security services for citizens.
The meeting touched on the achievements of the security services successes during the past year in thwarting the schemes of aggression and mercenaries.
The meeting reviewed the requirements of the security establishment and the needs of its employees as well as aspects of rehabilitation and training to enhance the level of security performance and to cope with the challenges imposed by the aggression.
In the meeting, President Al-Mashat praised the achievements of the security services over four years of aggression, which is reflected in dealing with conspiracies and schemes that targeted security of the homeland, its stability of its social fabric unity.
He stressed the importance of strengthening the coordination between the various security agencies and redouble efforts to enhance security successes and to control all those who intent himself to tampering with security, stability and public tranquility.
The Deputy Minister of Interior referred to the plans and programs of the Ministry of Interior and its affiliated institutions aimed at enhancing security performance at the level of the capital and various provinces.
He stressed the keenness of the leadership of the ministry and its staff to continue the process of modernization and development of the performance of the security services, especially in light of the current situation experienced by the homeland.
