Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns Israeli crimes in Tubas, demands provision of int'l protection
[14/يناير/2019] RAMALLAH, Jan. 14 (Saba) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation forces, which notified 13 Palestinian families orally from Khirbat Ibizig in Tubas governorate, to leave their homes on the pretext of carrying out military exercises in the area.
The ministry said in a statement that each time, after conducting these military exercises, the real scenes expose the nature of the malicious colonial goals to expel Palestinian citizens from their homes and tents.
According to the ministry, the Israeli occupation occupies large tracts of agricultural land in the Tubas area and the northern Jordan Valley, formerly army camps that were evacuated and later turned into settlements, as in the case of existing settlements.
The ministry stressed that the violations and crimes of the occupation against the defenseless Palestinian citizens aim at deepening the racist separation system abhorrent and destroying the foundations of the Palestinian presence in the Jordan Valley and the displacement of Palestine people by all means and types of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.
And considered that the escalation of the crimes of the occupation and its violations in the Jordan Valley calls for urgent action by the UN Security Council to provide international protection for our people.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation forces expelled the same families last month from their homes and tents three times for the same reason.
The ministry condemned the crime of expelling of citizens from their homes and tents by Israeli , leaving them and their children outside in the cold weather and without regard to their humanitarian situation.
