Yemen's FM meets with new UN envoy
SANA’A, Mar 13 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met with the Resident Representative of the United Nations for Humanitarian Coordinator, Lisa Grande to Yemen.
The meeting dealt with the increasing number of displaced people due to the continuous shelling in all areas targeted by the Saudi-American aggression and blockade, in light of the lack of necessary resources on the government side to cover the needs of this category, which expand their suffering and increase the number of victims day after day.
Sharaf stressed means to enhance and develop the cooperation between Yemen and UN, as well attention to the success of the Humanitarian Coordinator.
The National salvation government directly accused Saudi aggression to worsen humanitarian catastrophe, the deliberate policies to expand and doubling the suffering of Yemenis, calling to the peace and reaching political settlement that preserves the peace of Yemen and its people, the Foreign Minister said.
Meanwhile, Grande expressed her happiness as a resident coordinator of the United National in Sana'a, stressing to the protect and enhance of the Human affairs and addressing the humanitarian situation in Yemen, especially during the current circumstances.
