SANA'A, June 28 (Saba)- Minister of Legal Affairs Mohammed al-Mekhlafi met here on Thursday with Deputy Director of Middle East and North Africa Program at Amnesty International (AI), Philip Luther.

In the meeting, al- Mekhlafi reviewed efforts of preparing the draft law of transitional justice, and its basics to achieve the national reconciliation.

He also reviewed the functions of the transition period and the successes achieved in the implementation of the transfer of power, and the bases of the national dialogue, as well as the preparation of the second draft of the project to establish an independent body for human rights, which its first draft has been prepared by Ministry of Human Rights.

For his part, the AI's official praised the role of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in carrying out its duties , calling for exerting more efforts to enhance the human rights release the detainees.
