Ending Abyan displaced suffering is government priority: al-Sa'adi [16/يونيو/2012]
SANA'A, June 16 (Saba) - The International Cooperation and Planning Minister stressed Saturday the need to speed up the normalization of the country's public life and the removal of remnants of war waged in Abyan's areas.
During chairing a meeting with the regional and international humanitarian relief organizations, Mohammed al-Sa'adi stressed the importance of coordinating efforts between the government and the humanitarian relief organizations to begin providing relief services to alleviate the suffering of Abyan's displaced people.
Ending the suffering of the displaced people is a priority of government, the minister said, hailing the diligence shown by the regional and international donor organizations in supporting the government's efforts aiming to accelerate the provision of relief services for the affected people and the normalization of the humanitarian situation in Abyan.
Al-Sa'adi revealed preparations carried out by the ministry to hold an expanded meeting of the all humanitarian regional and international organizations and representatives of donor states, organizations and funds next Monday to discuss the coordination details of relief efforts for Abyan displaced people.
