Britain calls for ceasing acts weakening Yemeni government [13/يونيو/2012]
LONDON, June 13 (Saba) - Britain has called for an immediate cease of all acts aiming to weaken the national reconciliation government headed by President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
Minister in Charge of Middle Eastern and North African Affairs at the UK Foreign Office Alistair Burt said that the UN security council sent clear message to those people who are trying to deter the peaceful political transition in Yemen and deprive the Yemeni people of its right to a safe and prosperous future.
The British minister has vowed that his country would continue, as a co-head of the Friends of Yemen meeting, its joint efforts with Saudi Arabia and the rest of its partners to keep the case of Yemen at the top of the international priorities.
Burt confirmed that Yemen needs huge and continued support in order to preserve security and stability in the region, pointing that the crisis in Yemen is a great challenge because of the need of millions of Yemenis to food and water, in addition to the deteriorating security and economic situations.
